how do i know whom to trust?

We are born with the nature to trust others because that is the way God has made us. From birth, we learn to trust our parents. As little babies, we through ourselves on our parents trusting that they will catch us. When they hold us up high in the air we don’t scream, because we know they will not let us fall. Later on when we grow up, we start trusting others in the family brothers and sisters, uncles and aunties, grandparents, and eventually we start trusting teachers and other adults, the more we grow. But not everyone can be trusted, and we should not trust everybody. If you have been brought up around good people, it may come as a surprise that not everyone can be trusted. Even ordinary people with a friendly smile may have a heart that cannot be trusted.   Let your parents know about all the people you talk to. And before you make any deals or plans or trust someone you don’t know well with your secrets, ask your parents what they think about that person, and above all, ask God!   The Bible says: “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.” Nahum 1:7
More Devotions
Once, when the disciples returned after a long day of fishing and after they had lunch with the Lord, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, do you truly love Me more than these here?”
How would you feel if someone lied at you, then said sorry, and then lied again and again!
God loves us because it is in His nature to love—not because we are good.
